About Us

Overview

Dixie Cattell & Associates proudly offers more than four decades of unwavering commitment to our clients. Our team of expert court reporters, each boasting an average of 25 years in the field, hold Certified Court Reporter (CCR) credentials, with a significant number also certified as Registered Professional Reporters (RPR). We are dedicated to maintaining a standard of consistency and continuity in multi-deposition cases. To this end, we endeavor to assign the same reporter to each case as much as possible. On occasions where continuity is not possible, we ensure a smooth transition by sharing specialized job dictionaries among our reporters.

You can count on us to meet and even exceed your expectations.  We will do whatever it takes to meet your needs and we are dedicated to keeping up with the latest technology and will be happy to help you if you need assistance with Zoom, screen-sharing exhibits, or anything that helps you in your job.

Dixie Cattell

Dixie started her own business in 1982, shortly after completing the court reporting program at Green River Community College. She obtained her Washington State Court Reporter certification in 1980 and her Registered Professional Reporter certification in 1981. In 2001 she added videoconferencing services to her business.

She has been a member of the Washington Court Reporters Association and served as the membership chair for several years. She is also a member of the National Court Reporters Association.   In addition, she is a member of the Advisory Board at the Green River Community College for the Court Reporting and Captioning program in support of the faculty and the students enrolled there.

In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, either cycling, downhill skiing, camping or gardening.

Rebecca Lindauer

Becky obtained her Washington State Certified Court Reporter certification in 1992 and her Registered Professional Reporter certificate in 1994.  Over her career, she has created the record in a variety of settings, including depositions, arbitrations, and public hearings for many state and public agencies.

In her downtime, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with her family and pets.

Stephanie Elder, CCR, RPR

Stephanie graduated from L.H. Bates in Washington in 1989, worked for our firm until 1994 while she and her then-husband were stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McCord.   She then moved back to South Dakota where she was raised and taught court reporting for around seven years, did some medical transcription work, and then went back into freelance court reporting around 2000.  Since 2000, she has spent most of that time freelancing with about 10 years of working as an official.

In February of 2025, after my encouraging Stephanie to get re-licensed in Washington again, she did get her court reporting license in Washington, and she has been covering remote Zoom depositions for us since then while juggling her work at the courthouse.  We are glad to have her back.

Stephanie loves spending time with her husband, living in the country on their acreage, camping, motorcycle-riding, and spending time with their families.

Susan Anderson

Susan started reporting in 1980, passed the Washington Statutory; then in 1982 Passed the RPR, Registered Professional Reporter.

Susan did freelance reporting in Tacoma, Washington, for 15 years.  In 1995 she moved to Yakima and worked in Yakima Superior Court for 7 years for Judge Michael Leavitt and provided Realtime for trials in the court room.  In 2022 she went back into freelance in Central Washington and has continued as a freelance reporter since then.  Susan has done extensive technical work in asbestos, personal injury and other cases.

In her free time Susan rides horses with her husband all over the Southwest, Northwest and in between. They also have enjoyed some great white-water trips down the Grand Canyon and most recently the Middle Fork of the Salmon. Susan and her husband have packed and ridden their horses in Monument Valley, the Wind River Range, the Bob Marshall, the Eagle Cap, the Pasayten Wilderness, the Sawtooths, Bryce Canyon to name a few.
